Painting Brake Calipers

Give your brake calipers a striking colour – red, yellow, blue or a colour of your choice. Heat-resistant and durable.

Eye-catching brake calipers in every colour

Painting your brake calipers is one of the most visible and affordable upgrades you can make to your car. Visible through the wheel rims, the brake calipers stand out, and a striking colour — classic red, sporty yellow or a shade that complements the rest of your car — instantly gives your car a premium, finished look. Combine it with painted alloy wheels for a complete, cohesive wheel look.

What colours are available?

The most popular colours are red (Brembo-style), yellow (racing look), blue, orange and black. However, we can paint brake calipers in virtually any RAL or manufacturer’s colour. Would you like the brake calipers to match the colour of your car wrap Or perhaps an accent colour for your car? That’s possible. We’ll advise you on the best choice for your vehicle.

Heat-resistant paint — even during heavy braking

Brake calipers get warm during normal use and can sometimes become very hot during sporty driving or when driving downhill. Ordinary car paint would quickly flake off or discolour in these conditions. WrapBaas uses only heat-resistant brake caliper paint that can withstand temperatures of at least 250°C. This guarantees a durable and long-lasting result.

Procedure: dismantling for the best result

To ensure a professional and long-lasting finish, the brake calipers are removed, cleaned, degreased and sanded down before the paint is applied. Spraying without removing the calipers results in a less smooth and less durable finish. WrapBaas removes the brake calipers as standard, unless the customer specifically opts for a quicker service without removal. Would you like the car to be in top condition inside and out afterwards? Then combine this with a car detailing treatment for a fully serviced car.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

How much does it cost to paint brake calipers?
Painting brake calipers usually costs between €150 and €350 for a full set of four. The price depends on the extent of the dismantling work, the colour chosen and the number of brake calipers. Large or complex brake calipers (sports cars, SUVs) may cost slightly more.
What colours are available for brake calipers?
Red, yellow, blue, orange, white, black and green are available as standard. We can also mix virtually any RAL colour or manufacturer-specific colour. Would you like a colour to match your own car? That’s possible.
Why are brake calipers removed?
Dismantling ensures a completely flat paint finish without any overspray on brake discs, hoses or brackets. The result is a neater, cleaner and more durable finish than with on-site spraying.
Is the paint heat-resistant?
Yes. We use only specialised brake caliper paint that can withstand temperatures of at least 250°C. Ordinary car paint or metal paint is not suitable for this purpose and would flake off quickly.
How long does the paint last?
When heat-resistant paint is applied correctly, it will generally last for 3 to 5 years without flaking or discolouring. Regular driving involving high braking temperatures (track days) may shorten its lifespan.
Can I also have a logo or text added to my brake calipers?
Yes. Using a stencil or decal, we can apply a brand name (such as Brembo or Akebono-style) or your own text to the brake caliper. Please enquire about the options.
Are all car models and wheel sizes suitable?
Brake calipers can be painted on almost all passenger cars and sports cars. However, how visible the brake caliper is depends on the wheel design — the effect is most striking on spoke wheels.
Can I have just two brake calipers painted?
That is technically possible, but we always recommend a full set (front and rear, or at least the front) to ensure a consistent look.
How long does the treatment take?
Painting brake calipers usually takes one working day. The car will be ready in the evening or the following morning, depending on the curing process.
